British gems AMÉRICO. A caveat this register owes its own coat test, added 25 AUGUST 2026. The test reads an EMS code and reports what the code does not contain. It cannot see a locket. British Gems Stitch is coded BSH d 69 with no white symbol at all and is described by his breeder as solid, and photographs of him show a white chin and chest patch. A minimal white marking is routinely left off a code. The test is therefore a test of what is recorded and not of what is there. It remains sound for its purpose, because the white that pales an eye is white on the head, and a cat carrying enough white to cover an orbit is not coded blank by any registry. But the register should say no white recorded rather than no white, and where a photograph exists it should be looked at
