WCH (WCF) V*Grand Sineglaziy Angel, SIB w 61, stands in Omega Chatterie de Nice's third generation, and Sineglaziy is Russian for blue-eyed. In a white cat a blue eye cannot be read: it may be the white gene, it may be a variant, and inspection cannot separate them, which is why the line is traced. Dominant white is dominant: a cat carrying W is a white cat. Omega is SIB n 03 23 and her son Pavel Chatterie de Nice is SIB n 09 24 61, and neither is white, so neither carries w, and the blue eye in this line cannot be the white-cat blue eye coming down from him. A dominant gene cannot skip the coat it produces. What remains open is that a cattery breeding deliberately for blue eyes may also have held a blue-eye factor NOT linked to W, which would pass to non-white descendants exactly as this one appears to have done. Both are recorded and neither is adopted

The description held
A dominant white cat coded 61. In a white cat a blue eye is what the white gene homozygosity in this line is stated to be lethal. Professor Marie abitbol, who identified DBE-ALT and DBE-CEL, states in her 2026 World Cat Federation presentation, on the slide headed 'Malvina line', that this is a dominant blue eye line from Russia, that it was introduced into the Siberian breed, that homozygosity is lethal, that there is no data on deafness, and that the search for the variant is ongoing. This is the researcher's statement and not this survey's finding: the presentation gives the conclusion without the underlying counts, so no number of lost kittens is claimed here. It is recorded against every animal of the line because a breeder looks up an animal and not a line. What it means in practice: mating two carriers of this determinant together is expected to lose the quarter of the litter that inherits two copies, and because those kittens do not survive to be counted, a breeder doing it may see only small litters and conclude nothing is wrong. It is a different and worse harm from the compound heterozygote this register documents elsewhere, which is white and deaf and which lives. The determinant of this line remains unidentified and this note does not attribute one. S_LETHAL_206ORDINARILY DOES and is not evidence of a dominant blue eye variant, which is why his status is recorded as a different cause. His prefix means blue-eyed in Russian and his dam Lu-lu Beliy Sibirjak of Sineglaziy Angel is also a white cat, coded 64, green eyes. The same cattery produced white cats with blue eyes and white cats with green ones, which is what dominant white does
