What the pedigree implies
Possible carrier by descent. the Siberian, Altai or Barnaul unconfirmed line, no variant identified, through Blue Topaz Grilyazh, Blue Topaz Gusar, Blue Topaz Klukva
This is computed from the recorded parentage each time this site is built and is not typed into the register. It is a deduction from the trait being dominant, not a statement by any source, and it is not the same thing as the record's own status field. Only a laboratory settles it for an individual. The full list is on latent lines.
What is flagged on this tree
Blue Topaz Grilyazh. The chart reading is confirmed by a registry sheet. The C3 genealogy gave him out of Neva's Legend Ignat and Brusnika iz Odissei, and the PawPeds pedigree for Noa Artemis Chatterie de Nice gives the same two parents with dates, Neva's Legend Ignat SIB n 09 22 18 June 2008 and GIC Brusnika iz Odissei SIB n 09 24 5 July 2008. A breeder chart and a database agreeing on a parentage is worth more than either alone | he and blue Topaz Gusar are littermates, both given 7 August 2009 out of the same pair, and the Chatterie de Nice foundation descends from both: from him through Lazy Climberiada on the sire side, and from Gusar through Blue Topaz Relax and Myrtus Barselit on the dam side. The blue Topaz line is therefore doubled at the foundation of that cattery, by two brothers
Noa Artemis Chatterie de Nice. Her sheet is where the blue Topaz ancestry of this cattery is set out in full. It gives CH Blue Topaz Grilyazh out of Neva's Legend Ignat and GIC Brusnika iz Odissei, and Blue Topaz Gusar DSM out of the same pair on the same day, confirming the C3 chart from a database. Both brothers stand in her four generations, one on each side | she is the littermate of Neo Argo Chatterie de Nice, who is the sire of Omega and so the grandsire of Pavel. Neither she nor her littermate carries an eye code, and the 61 first appears in this cattery a generation below them
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

The description held
No eye code. She is SIB n 09 22, white-spotted, not dominant white and not colourpointed, and her registry sheet enters no eye code on her or on any of her thirty ancestors homozygosity in this line is stated to be lethal. Professor Marie abitbol, who identified DBE-ALT and DBE-CEL, states in her 2026 World Cat Federation presentation, on the slide headed 'Malvina line', that this is a dominant blue eye line from Russia, that it was introduced into the Siberian breed, that homozygosity is lethal, that there is no data on deafness, and that the search for the variant is ongoing. This is the researcher's statement and not this survey's finding: the presentation gives the conclusion without the underlying counts, so no number of lost kittens is claimed here. It is recorded against every animal of the line because a breeder looks up an animal and not a line. What it means in practice: mating two carriers of this determinant together is expected to lose the quarter of the litter that inherits two copies, and because those kittens do not survive to be counted, a breeder doing it may see only small litters and conclude nothing is wrong. It is a different and worse harm from the compound heterozygote this register documents elsewhere, which is white and deaf and which lives. The determinant of this line remains unidentified and this note does not attribute one. S_LETHAL_206

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
