Genealogy trace, one printable page carrying the proposed code

Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161p. A carrier of a variant with no published allele, on no named line. This is the group bare 161 exists for. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.

How this cat is connected to the trait

No recorded parent link joins this cat to a founder or to a tested animal. What the record rests on instead is the line recorded on it, Siberian, Altai or Barnaul unconfirmed, which is a source's attribution and not a descent this register can walk; and no recorded parent at all, which is a gap in the sources and not a statement that the cat had none.

No parent is recorded for this cat in the register, so no genealogy can be drawn. That is a gap in the sources, not a statement that the cat had none. Any offspring the register holds are listed below.

Three or more variants could be present in this cat

DBE-ALT and DBE-CEL and Siberian, Altai or Barnaul unconfirmed. More than one variant could be present in this cat: DBE-ALT, DBE-CEL, Siberian, Altai or Barnaul unconfirmed. It is not established that any of them is, and it is not established that two are. A dominant allele comes from a parent, and this cat's recorded ancestry carries an attribution of each. A cat holding two is a compound heterozygote, which this survey records as the state associated with deaf and dead kittens, and nothing but a test distinguishes one from two.

Computed from the recorded parentage at every build, counting both the variants this survey adopts and the ones it records a source claiming and does not adopt. It is an upper bound and not a finding: it says what could be here, never what is.

What is flagged

  1. Amos Coccola Siberiana. Partly found, 19 AUGUST 2026. The cattery website exists at coccola-siberiana.com and describes its cats individually with EMS codes and locus genotypes. WCF registry records for individual cats of the prefix also exist, carrying a WCF identifier, a date of birth, an EMS colour code, a club and a photograph. What could not be found, and still cannot, is a pedigree: no WCF record names a parent, no pedigree database holds the prefix under any spelling, and the cattery publishes parents for some cats and not others. Two of the three spellings are two separate catteries and not one prefix. The Coccole & Fusa page, read 19 August 2026, names 'Coccole & Fusa Siberian Cattery, coccole-fusa.com' and 'Coccola Siberiana, coccola-siberiana.com' As the two Italian catteries breeding these cats, so they are distinct establishments and the register no longer treats them as one. The third form, 'Coccol & Fusa', appears once and is read as a transcription of the first. Every record under it rests on breeder-compiled chart material and not on a registry document, with the single exception of Aaron Coccola Siberiana, who appears on the DELICAT club Stammbaum for Bonnie of Siberian Paws. What that means for a trace: no independent source can be used to check the parentage, the dates or the eyes of these animals, and none of them can be looked up by a third party. The records stand as supplied and are marked

A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

shaded, with two blue eye icons, and annotated '(White spotting gene?)' Homozygosity in this line is stated to be lethal. Professor Marie abitbol, who identified DBE-ALT and DBE-CEL, states in her 2026 World Cat Federation presentation, on the slide headed 'Malvina line', that this is a dominant blue eye line from Russia, that it was introduced into the Siberian breed, that homozygosity is lethal, that there is no data on deafness, and that the search for the variant is ongoing. This is the researcher's statement and not this survey's finding: the presentation gives the conclusion without the underlying counts, so no number of lost kittens is claimed here. It is recorded against every animal of the line because a breeder looks up an animal and not a line. What it means in practice: mating two carriers of this determinant together is expected to lose the quarter of the litter that inherits two copies, and because those kittens do not survive to be counted, a breeder doing it may see only small litters and conclude nothing is wrong. It is a different and worse harm from the compound heterozygote this register documents elsewhere, which is white and deaf and which lives. The determinant of this line remains unidentified and this note does not attribute one. S_LETHAL_206

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
