Carbain Tweed Cacao
British Shorthair · the source records no eye colour · No variant and no line attributed · also in its ancestry: Azul (C15), Igor
Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161 x1p. A carrier of a variant with no published allele, on a line this proposal gives a suffix to. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.
How this cat is connected to the trait
Carbain Tweed Cacao, BSH a
Heavenly Eyes Ultra Black from Sham, BLH n 09 61, the parent of Carbain Tweed Cacao
Jimmy Azure Dream, BSH d 03 63, the sire of Heavenly Eyes Ultra Black from Sham
Igor, BSH n 02 61, the sire of Jimmy Azure Dream. a founder of this survey; no variant has ever been identified in this line
That is 3 recorded parent links, and the animal at the end of it has never been tested, so the connection is a descent and not a result. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

What the pedigree implies
One of an obligate pair. Paired with Rue Des Biscottes Carbin, for Carbain Umpasse des Bonbons
This is computed from the recorded parentage each time this site is built and is not typed into the register. It is a deduction from the trait being dominant, not a statement by any source, and it is not the same thing as the record's own status field. Only a laboratory settles it for an individual. The full list is on latent lines.
What is flagged on this tree
Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. The founder of the line the breeder charts call Igor, and the head of every chart headed 'line descended from Altai gene Igor'. He is not the Altai gene male himself: the charts draw a starred, unnamed animal above him, described as 'BSH x Altai registered as BSH?', and that animal is not entered here because no document names it. Two coat readings stand on him, BSH a from the chart crops and BSH n 02 61 from the registry pedigree, and neither is discarded; his son Amur Dream is BRI n 01, which is consistent with the second. Folded from igr-a01 and igr-b07 on 28 August 2026 by parentage: same mate, Onyx Magic Smile, and the same two offspring. S_FOLD_155 | three DBE cats of this line were genotyped and excluded from both new variants. Abitbol M, Eisele T and Lipovenko E, 'Additional PAX3 Variants for Dominant Blue Eyes in Cats', Animal Genetics 2026;57:e70199, Table 1 gives 'Igor Azur Dream, 3, wild-type' for DBE-NAD, and one of the three was also tested for DBE-MARU and came back C/C, which is wild-type. This is the first laboratory result this register has ever held for the Igor line. It is an exclusion and not an identification: it establishes what the determinant of this line is not, and nothing about what it is. The register no longer says that no test has been run on this line, because one has. No variant has been published for this line. S_PAX3_2026_235 | a registry has refused his descendants. Chats Canada cats, cca-afc, has rejected the descendants of Igor Azure dream for registration, 2026. The registry states that it retains the right to refuse any cat submitted to it at its discretion and that in this case it has chosen to refuse this descent. This is the second action by that registry on the trait: in 2022 it excluded the dominant blue eye by default, and this refusal is directed at one named descent rather than at the trait. The ruling is recorded here. The correspondence in which it was given is private and its contents are not published. S_CCA_254 | two pedigrees give him two different breeds. One document records him as a British and another, published at one time by the cattery itself, records him as an Ojos Azules. This register holds him as an F1 cross and the founder of a line of British-derived mixes, which is what the pedigrees it has read support. The contradiction is the record's, not this register's, and it is the reason a descent from him cannot be verified from breed alone. S_CCA_254 | the line has been genotyped against the named variants in three rounds and four variants have been excluded from it by assay. Round one, accepted 9 APRIL 2024: six British cats of this line genotyped for DBE-CEL, all wild type, Table 1 of Abitbol, Couronne, Dufaure de Citres and Gache, Animal Genetics 2024;55:670-675. Round two, published 21 JUNE 2024: six British cats of this line genotyped for DBE-ALT, all wild type, Abitbol, Dufaure de Citres, Rudd Garces, Luhken, Lyons and Gache, Animals 2024;14:1845. Round three, accepted 31 AUGUST 2026: three cats genotyped for DBE-NAD and for DBE-MARU, all wild type for both, Table 1 of Abitbol, Eisele and Lipovenko, Animal Genetics 2026;57:e70199. The register previously recorded two rounds and attributed the 2024 result to DBE-CEL alone. There were two rounds in 2024, three months apart, against two different variants, and the correction is made here. An exclusion is a test that ran and returned a negative, not a test that was never done, and that this line can be ruled out of four named variants by assay is itself the finding. S_IGORTESTS_256 | the two duplicate stub records are now removed, 14 September 2026. The fold itself was made on 28 August 2026 and is recorded above; what was not done then was deleting igr-a01 and igr-b07, which stayed in the register as stubs carrying nothing but his name and the chart each came from. Neither held an offspring, a date or a code this record does not. The two charts are kept: igr-a01 came from the Azure Dream chart, breeder-compiled; igr-b07 from the PawPeds pedigree for Azure Dream Dizel, supplied 17 August 2026. S_IGORFOLD_260 | the line announced its own exclusion before either paper reporting it was accepted. A public post of 6 FEBRUARY 2024 by a breeder of this line states that, after DNA testing and comparison at the french laboratory, the Azure dream Igor line does not belong to the Topaz and Altai cats. The post names the researcher whose laboratory ran the work. The first paper carrying an exclusion on this line was accepted 9 APRIL 2024, two months later, and the second was published 21 JUNE 2024, four months later. The register holds both assays already and this does not add a result; What it adds is the date the result reached the line and the fact that the line published it itself. The post names Topaz as well as Altai. This register holds an assay for DBE-ALT and holds no separate assay for any Topaz variant, so the Topaz half of the statement is recorded as the breeder's and is not adopted. It is a breeder's report of a laboratory result and not a laboratory report. The published exclusions stand on the papers. S_FEB2024_261
Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. Variant taken over high white, on a ruling and not on a test. This cat carries dominant white, a van, harlequin or bicolour figure, or a point figure, any of which leaves enough unpigmented iris to account for a blue eye without PAX3. It also carries a variant or stands in a DBE line, and the holder ruled on 31 August 2026 that the variant is taken as the cause in that situation. The alternative is not closed and only a genotype closes it. A photograph is better evidence of extent than a code, so where one has been read the phenotype note should be preferred to this flag. Recorded so the ruling is visible on every animal it touches and can be reversed as a set. S_VARIANT_OVER_WHITE
Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. Eye and coat, held apart from the diagnostic. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes and is not dominant white and not colourpointed, but its white code is van or harlequin. Very high white can produce bilateral blue on its own, which a traditional bicolour cannot, so the coat is NOT excluded here and this cat is not counted in the diagnostic. The distinction matters most at the founders: it is where this register would otherwise overclaim.
Anfeya le Chat en Velours. Name and duplicate. One animal, two spellings, two records. This register holds her here as Anfeya Le Chat en Velours from the breeder-compiled Azul chart and at f21-113 as Anfeya Le Shat En Velours from the PawPeds chart for Carbain Umpasse des Bonbons. Both are BSH h and both stand as the dam of Jimmy Azure Dream. The parentage is recorded on this record and the duplicate is marked rather than deleted, because the two spellings are themselves a finding about how the same animal is written across sources
Anfeya le Chat en Velours. Line reconciled 31 AUGUST 2026, FROM 'Azul and Igor (C15)' TO 'Pedigree ancestry, not a DBE line'. This record was pulled in as an ancestor off a Pawpeds sheet: it carries no eye code of any kind and its status is unknown. Filing it to a DBE line counted an ordinary ancestor as part of the line, which inflates the line and says something about the animal that no source says. S_LINE_RECON
Jimmy Azure dream. Purpose and outcome, both on the record. He was taken to France to found a celestial British line, stated by the compiler of the Igor charts 18 August 2026, which is why he is drawn on the Celeste dispersal material at all. messybeast.com records that LOOF refused to recognise his progeny as Celeste on the express ground that Igor was unrelated to the Altai cats that produced Lazuli. His own Pawpeds sheet bears that out: sixteen ancestors of thirty, one complete generation of four, every position above his sire empty, and no cat of the Roxi, Seymour or Nikita'l programmes at any position. An intention to found a line is not a descent and this register enters neither the breed nor the variant on that ground
Jimmy Azure dream. Ukiko Lakki cats. Line reconciled 31 AUGUST 2026, FROM 'Azul and Igor (C15)' TO 'Azul (C15)'. The old value named two founders at once. This cat is drawn on the C15 Azul chart and has no traced descent to Igor or to any other founder, so it is filed to the Azul material and to nothing further. That is a weaker statement than the old label made, and it is the one the evidence supports. S_LINE_RECON
Heavenly eyes Ultra black from Sham. The prefix listing and the variant material are two different bodies of animals, and that is the finding. Eighty-five cats of the from Sham prefix, thirteen carrying an eye code, and every one of the thirteen has an ordinary cause: eleven are dominant white, Curly Milky Way Junior SRL w 63, Curly Olessa SRL w 62, CurlyCharm Ice Princess SRL w 62, Ice Bear Junior BSH w 63, Ice Pearl BSH w 63, Madame Milk SRL w 62, Olympus SRL w 61, Pearl's Baby BSH w 62, White Ice Bear BRL w 63, White Icebreaker BSH w 62 and White Mrs. Marple BSH w 62; and two are HARLEQUIN, Curly Charm Bubble Finn SRL c 02 62 and Ofelia Zemfira BSH c 02 62. Not one animal on the whole listing carries 68 OR 69 | and every dominant blue eye cat this register holds under the from Sham suffix is absent from it. Blue Magic Heavenly Eyes From Sham BSH a 09 68, Heavenly Eyes Benjamin from Sham BSH bs 68, Heavenly Eyes Cinderella from Sham BSH d 68, Heavenly Eyes Ultra Black from Sham BLH n 09 61, Curly Charm Columbine from Sham, Curly Charm Unique from Sham and Heavenly Charm Amigo from Sham do not appear on the prefix listing. Thirty-eight of the from Sham cats this register holds are not on it and only thirteen are | what that means, stated no further than it goes. The listing is not a denominator for the variant cats. They are registered by some other route, under some other prefix, or with a body PawPeds does not hold, and chasing this prefix further will not find them. The document still wanted for the Heavenly Eyes cats is a pedigree on any one of them, not a cattery listing | the white is the other half of it. Eleven dominant white cats in one prefix is a deliberate white programme, and in a white cat a pale eye cannot be read either way. If a dominant blue eye variant were present in this prefix it would be invisible in exactly those eleven animals
Heavenly eyes Ultra black from Sham. Line reconciled 31 AUGUST 2026, FROM 'Azul and Igor (C15)' TO 'Igor'. The old value was a chart name that put two founders in one string, so descent could not be measured against either. This cat's parentage reaches Igor and the register can show it. Nothing about the animal changed; the label stopped hiding what was already recorded. S_LINE_RECON
Heavenly eyes Ultra black from Sham. Eye and coat, a determination and not a query. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes, carries a bicolour or locket white code, is not dominant white and is not colourpointed. The classic white spotting gene covers an eye where the white happens to fall, which gives an odd eye and not two blue ones, so the coat does not account for this and a dominant blue eye is present in the line. It is not the KIT odd-eye case. Its registry has entered no dominant eye code on it. Which variant is not deducible from a coat code and none is adopted.
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
