Blue Eyes Directory · blueeyesdirectory.com Record nan-01, printed 30 August 2026. Every animal on this sheet has its own page and its own source at that address.
Oliver, entered on PawPeds as Oliver 5 and cited in the literature as Oliver
prefix Nanotigr · British Shorthair · DBE-ALT · line: Nanotigr · the source records no eye colour · Genotyped
Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 163p. The variant is attributed to this animal from the record rather than from a result on it. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.
How this cat is connected to the trait
NO RECORDED PARENT LINK JOINS THIS CAT TO A FOUNDER OR TO A TESTED ANIMAL. What the record rests on instead is the line recorded on it, Nanotigr, which is a source's attribution and not a descent this register can walk; and a variant recorded on the animal itself, DBE-ALT.

What it would be carrying
DBE-ALT. Exactly one variant below this cat is fixed by a DNA genotype or by a first-degree lineage genotype, through Belle Ayr Olympas, Cotomodda Hubba-Bubba, Belle Ayr O'Turner, and the name travels back up the path the deduction came down. THIS NAMES THE VARIANT AND DOES NOT UPGRADE THE CARRIAGE: what changed is which test to order.
What the pedigree implies
ONE OF AN OBLIGATE PAIR. Paired with Pridykats Black Magicwoman, held here from an earlier source as Black Magic Woman, for Donn Carleone Nanotigr
This is computed from the recorded parentage each time this site is built and is not typed into the register. It is a deduction from the trait being dominant, not a statement by any source, and it is not the same thing as the record's own status field. Only a laboratory settles it for an individual. The full list is on latent lines.
What is flagged on this tree
CAPTAIN ERMINE TRACE. THE ERMINE TRACE ANIMAL THAT STANDS IN TWO SEPARATE PEDIGREES IN THIS REGISTER. He is in the fourth generation of Oliver, the Nanotigr founder, on the Krasnodar certificate of 24 November 2013; AND HE IS IN THE SIRE SIDE OF CHUBBY-MOON'S TERRIFIC, who carries DBE-CEL and a registry 68 code, through CH Beatriche Anirette to Aliviero Timofey to CH Puffy Cheeks Lucky to Infinity Jewel Cosmos Golden. TWO OF THE THREE VARIANT GROUPS IN THIS SURVEY REACH HIM BY RECORDED DESCENT. He carries no eye code on any document read here and no genotype, and the date is 2007, so what is shared is an ancestor and not a test
EST*AMIRALDA ANIRETTE, TRANSCRIBED FROM GENEALOGY C13 AS AMIRLDA ANRIETTE. THE ANIMAL AT WHICH THE ERMINE TRACE AND NANOTIGR LINES MEET ON A CERTIFICATE. She is the daughter of ICh. Captain Ermine Trace and the great-granddam of Oliver, who founds the Nanotigr line. Genealogy C13 asserted the tie and wrote DBE-ALT in red beside cats of both lines; the FARUS certificate of 24 November 2013 records the descent independently of that chart. NEITHER DOCUMENT CARRIES A GENOTYPE and no variant is adopted on this ground
OLIVER, ENTERED ON PAWPEDS AS OLIVER 5 AND CITED IN THE LITERATURE AS OLIVER. Attribution. THE CHART NAMES THIS LINE'S VARIANT AND THIS REGISTER HAD IT AS UNIDENTIFIED. Genealogy C13 is headed 'NANOTIGR BLUE-EYED BRITISH SHORTHAIRS, DBE-ALT' and writes DBE-ALT in red beside Oliver, beside Amelia Nanotigr and beside ERMINE TRACE NADEYA, who is the foundation cat of the Ermine Trace dominant blue-eyed line. THE ERMINE TRACE AND NANOTIGR CATS ARE THEREFORE ATTRIBUTED DBE-ALT BY THEIR OWN CHART. It is an attribution and not a test: no Ermine Trace cat holds a laboratory result, and the only result ever held for Nadeya was a colourpoint test at the C locus, which this register corrected on 17 August 2026. THE VARIANT IS RECORDED AS CLAIMED AND NOT ADOPTED, which is what the variant_claimed field is for, and the line stops being counted as a variant of its own
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

PawPeds database record P2; the line genotype in Animals 2024, 14(13):1845; a messybeast.com index entry reading 'Oliver DBE-ALT [DBE-1]', in which the bracketed code is wrong, DBE-1 being DBE^CEL and DBE^ALT being DBE-3; and the FARUS pedigree certificate for OLIVER, British Shorthair, black silver shaded ns 11, born 1 July 2012, male, issued by the Klub Lyubiteley Koshek 'Margosha Ket' of the Mezhdunarodnaya Felinologicheskaya Assotsiatsiya RUS at Krasnodar on 24 November 2013, image supplied 19 August 2026. A CLUB CERTIFICATE WITH A PRINTED ISSUE DATE, giving four complete generations. It carries no eye code on any animal
This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
