The codes run 63, THEN 69 OR 63, THEN 69 OR 63, THEN 61, down a single unbroken descent. 61 is the plain blue eye code, 63 the odd eye code and 69 the dominant odd eye code, and no document in this register says which of them is recording the same thing. Nothing in this line has been genotyped
2. Vanguard Capuchino. The generation in which the eye code disappears. His dam Roddiffer Afina is coded 69 and his son Charlie Kotomodda 61, and he carries no eye code at all on either sheet that gives him. This register holds him latent on earlier material. A dominant trait cannot skip a generation, so if the codes above and below him are recording the same thing, he carried it and no registry wrote it down
3. Charlie Kotomodda. The sheet that names a cat this register held unnamed. A blue-stock four-generation sheet supplied on 19 August 2026 gave an offspring of Vanguard Capuchino and Seven Teen Alice Queen born 6 April 2019 with the name cropped off the image, and it was entered unnamed. This Pawpeds pedigree gives the same two parents and the same date and names him. The unnamed record is merged away into this one | code conflict, 68 AGAINST 61. This register held him as BSH o 68, the dominant blue eye code, from the material that reached it first. The Pawpeds cattery listing and his own pedigree both give BSH o 61, the plain blue eye code. Both records agree he is blue-eyed and disagree on whether the registry calls it dominant. Neither is a genotype, and his coat settles the question the codes cannot: with no white, no dominant white and no point, the eye has no other explanation | four generations, four different eye codes. Amelia Nanotigr BSH ns 11 63, her daughter Roddiffer Afina BSH n 69, Afina's son Vanguard Capuchino with no eye code at all, and his son Charlie Kotomodda BSH o 61. Latent is a claim that this cat carries a variant while showing no blue or odd eye, and here it rests on a breeder-compiled document rather than on a laboratory result. Three cats in this register are latent on a genotype: Belle Ayr Onyxx, DBE-ALT, and Robin and Rocky, both DBE-RE. This is not one of them
