Genealogy trace, one printable page carrying the proposed code

Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161 x1p. A carrier of a variant with no published allele, on a line this proposal gives a suffix to. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.

What is flagged on this tree

  1. Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. The founder of the line the breeder charts call Igor, and the head of every chart headed 'line descended from Altai gene Igor'. He is not the Altai gene male himself: the charts draw a starred, unnamed animal above him, described as 'BSH x Altai registered as BSH?', and that animal is not entered here because no document names it. Two coat readings stand on him, BSH a from the chart crops and BSH n 02 61 from the registry pedigree, and neither is discarded; his son Amur Dream is BRI n 01, which is consistent with the second. Folded from igr-a01 and igr-b07 on 28 August 2026 by parentage: same mate, Onyx Magic Smile, and the same two offspring. S_FOLD_155 | three DBE cats of this line were genotyped and excluded from both new variants. Abitbol M, Eisele T and Lipovenko E, 'Additional PAX3 Variants for Dominant Blue Eyes in Cats', Animal Genetics 2026;57:e70199, Table 1 gives 'Igor Azur Dream, 3, wild-type' for DBE-NAD, and one of the three was also tested for DBE-MARU and came back C/C, which is wild-type. This is the first laboratory result this register has ever held for the Igor line. It is an exclusion and not an identification: it establishes what the determinant of this line is not, and nothing about what it is. The register no longer says that no test has been run on this line, because one has. No variant has been published for this line. S_PAX3_2026_235 | a registry has refused his descendants. Chats Canada cats, cca-afc, has rejected the descendants of Igor Azure dream for registration, 2026. The registry states that it retains the right to refuse any cat submitted to it at its discretion and that in this case it has chosen to refuse this descent. This is the second action by that registry on the trait: in 2022 it excluded the dominant blue eye by default, and this refusal is directed at one named descent rather than at the trait. The ruling is recorded here. The correspondence in which it was given is private and its contents are not published. S_CCA_254 | two pedigrees give him two different breeds. One document records him as a British and another, published at one time by the cattery itself, records him as an Ojos Azules. This register holds him as an F1 cross and the founder of a line of British-derived mixes, which is what the pedigrees it has read support. The contradiction is the record's, not this register's, and it is the reason a descent from him cannot be verified from breed alone. S_CCA_254 | the line has been genotyped against the named variants in three rounds and four variants have been excluded from it by assay. Round one, accepted 9 APRIL 2024: six British cats of this line genotyped for DBE-CEL, all wild type, Table 1 of Abitbol, Couronne, Dufaure de Citres and Gache, Animal Genetics 2024;55:670-675. Round two, published 21 JUNE 2024: six British cats of this line genotyped for DBE-ALT, all wild type, Abitbol, Dufaure de Citres, Rudd Garces, Luhken, Lyons and Gache, Animals 2024;14:1845. Round three, accepted 31 AUGUST 2026: three cats genotyped for DBE-NAD and for DBE-MARU, all wild type for both, Table 1 of Abitbol, Eisele and Lipovenko, Animal Genetics 2026;57:e70199. The register previously recorded two rounds and attributed the 2024 result to DBE-CEL alone. There were two rounds in 2024, three months apart, against two different variants, and the correction is made here. An exclusion is a test that ran and returned a negative, not a test that was never done, and that this line can be ruled out of four named variants by assay is itself the finding. S_IGORTESTS_256 | the two duplicate stub records are now removed, 14 September 2026. The fold itself was made on 28 August 2026 and is recorded above; what was not done then was deleting igr-a01 and igr-b07, which stayed in the register as stubs carrying nothing but his name and the chart each came from. Neither held an offspring, a date or a code this record does not. The two charts are kept: igr-a01 came from the Azure Dream chart, breeder-compiled; igr-b07 from the PawPeds pedigree for Azure Dream Dizel, supplied 17 August 2026. S_IGORFOLD_260 | the line announced its own exclusion before either paper reporting it was accepted. A public post of 6 FEBRUARY 2024 by a breeder of this line states that, after DNA testing and comparison at the french laboratory, the Azure dream Igor line does not belong to the Topaz and Altai cats. The post names the researcher whose laboratory ran the work. The first paper carrying an exclusion on this line was accepted 9 APRIL 2024, two months later, and the second was published 21 JUNE 2024, four months later. The register holds both assays already and this does not add a result; What it adds is the date the result reached the line and the fact that the line published it itself. The post names Topaz as well as Altai. This register holds an assay for DBE-ALT and holds no separate assay for any Topaz variant, so the Topaz half of the statement is recorded as the breeder's and is not adopted. It is a breeder's report of a laboratory result and not a laboratory report. The published exclusions stand on the papers. S_FEB2024_261
  2. Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. Variant taken over high white, on a ruling and not on a test. This cat carries dominant white, a van, harlequin or bicolour figure, or a point figure, any of which leaves enough unpigmented iris to account for a blue eye without PAX3. It also carries a variant or stands in a DBE line, and the holder ruled on 31 August 2026 that the variant is taken as the cause in that situation. The alternative is not closed and only a genotype closes it. A photograph is better evidence of extent than a code, so where one has been read the phenotype note should be preferred to this flag. Recorded so the ruling is visible on every animal it touches and can be reversed as a set. S_VARIANT_OVER_WHITE
  3. Igor, given on the Pawpeds pedigree as Igor Azure dream and on the breeder charts Simply as Igor. Eye and coat, held apart from the diagnostic. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes and is not dominant white and not colourpointed, but its white code is van or harlequin. Very high white can produce bilateral blue on its own, which a traditional bicolour cannot, so the coat is NOT excluded here and this cat is not counted in the diagnostic. The distinction matters most at the founders: it is where this register would otherwise overclaim.
  4. Onyx magic Smile. One cat on four records, and the split was hiding a full-sister relationship. Onyx magic Smile appeared as igr-a21, igs-19, igr-b09 AND sqx-92. Three of the four name the same parents in words, ec lord Creme Jonas vom Wernerwald by Ice lady v Peo's cat, and the fourth records that Kittystar Brilliant's certificate gives her a different ancestry, which is itself evidence and is kept | what the split cost. Alesta Azure dream hung on one copy and Chilly Aquamarine Azure dream on another, and both are out of Igor Azure dream. The two are full sisters out of one mating and the register could not see it. Alesta is BSH a 09 with no eye code and is the dam of Kooper superqueen, 68. Chilly Aquamarine is BRI e 03 61, CODED, with three recorded offspring running on through the Azure Dream prefix. The superqueen 68 and the Azure dream 61 sit on two full sisters out of Igor Azure dream by Onyx magic Smile | and what that means for the uncoded sister. Alesta carries no eye code at all and her son is 68. Her full sister is coded 61 and 03, a bicolour, so the coat rule sets the sister aside as evidence. Alesta herself is 09, which is also the excluded tier. Neither sister can be used to show anything, and between them they stand above a 68 and a 61 | how the merge was done. This register lost nine ALT by CEL crossings once before because a sweep moved the links pointing at a duplicate and left the duplicate's own parents in place. Here both ends were moved: every child repointed to the canonical record and every duplicate stripped of its own parents, so no phantom branch survives. The duplicate records themselves are kept, because each is a separate document and this register audits by document
  5. BG*Amur dream.
  6. Kittystar blue Sapphire. 7. Flint Area Begery. Possible duplicate of kys-21 Flina Area Begery, one letter apart at the same code in the same block, and deliberately not folded. Folding two records on a spelling is how a register loses a cat. For the compiler to rule on. S_WCF_172
  8. Kittystar Garey. Eye and coat, a determination and not a query. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes, carries a bicolour or locket white code, is not dominant white and is not colourpointed. The classic white spotting gene covers an eye where the white happens to fall, which gives an odd eye and not two blue ones, so the coat does not account for this and a dominant blue eye is present in the line. It is not the KIT odd-eye case. Its registry has entered no dominant eye code on it. Which variant is not deducible from a coat code and none is adopted.
  9. Kittystar Rafaella. Line reconciled 31 AUGUST 2026, FROM 'Azul and Igor (C15)' TO 'Pedigree ancestry, not a DBE line'. This record was pulled in as an ancestor off a Pawpeds sheet: it carries no eye code of any kind and its status is unknown. Filing it to a DBE line counted an ordinary ancestor as part of the line, which inflates the line and says something about the animal that no source says. S_LINE_RECON
  10. Kittystar Kyzya. Line reconciled 31 AUGUST 2026, FROM 'Azul and Igor (C15)' TO 'Igor'. The old value was a chart name that put two founders in one string, so descent could not be measured against either. This cat's parentage reaches Igor and the register can show it. Nothing about the animal changed; the label stopped hiding what was already recorded. S_LINE_RECON
  11. Kittystar Kyzya.

A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

The description held
Three sources write her white and they disagree only about which figure. This register holds her BSH by 09 11 61, unspecified white; the ICW pedigree for her grandson writes her BSH by 11 03 61, bicolour; her cattery's album titles her BRI by 09 11 61. Not one of the three omits white, and her photographs show it on the chest, the muzzle and the front feet. She has white and the register keeps its 09. S_ALBUMS_188 | his own stamped certificate spells the code out in words and that settles the white question on him: 'chocolate golden shaded little white spots blue eyes'. The 09 in his code is white spotting written in full by the issuing registry, and the short forms that omit it are dropping a figure the document prints. This is the same finding the Cooper album gave and it is now confirmed on a stamped registry document. S_JOSEPHINE_194 | PHOTOGRAPHED, and the photograph was identified by the breeder. A chocolate golden shaded cat with two deep blue eyes and white on the chest, the muzzle and the front feet, which is what 'little white spots' describes | he and KING_PRIDE Linda share fifty-two recorded ancestors, nearest Cyrano de Bergerac van de Katse Duinen. His path to that animal runs through Onyx magic Smile, bg*Amur Dream's dam, so it is the Igor side of this register that reaches the Dutch base and not only the from Sham side. S_JOSPHOTO_200

This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
