Of that prefix it wrote: 'Every coded cat in this prefix carries high white, and under this register's rule that means none of them is evidence.' That is True about evidence and it was written as though it settled what the cats are. It does not. The coat rule governs how an untested cat is read, not what it carries. A van coded 61 has an ordinary explanation available, so it cannot be used as evidence of a variant; It can still carry one, and if it descends from an imported cat of a line that carries one, it may well do. This is the same distinction BelleAyr O'Blue Pearl forced, where a genotype overrode an appearance the rule would have read the other way | and the 61 is suspect on its own terms. The from Sham cattery's published pedigree writes 61 on three consecutive generations and annotates every one 'ALT Gen, blaue Augen'. Superqueen is that same body of material: Aurora superqueen appears on that very page as 'BRI F2, bs 61, ALT Gen, blaue Augen'. A 61 on a Dreams of Heaven cat descending from a Superqueen import may be the same usage, and Dreams of Heaven Ice Crystal and Dreams of Heaven Z-Storm are both coded 61 | the statuses are not changed and the reason is deliberate. The descent on its own published page runs SEYMOUR, black-silver-tabby, ns 23 61, 'ALT Gen, blaue Augen'; to Nikital Daisy, BRI F1, ns 61, 'ALT Gen, blaue Augen'; to Aurora superqueen, BRI F2, bs 61, 'ALT Gen, blaue Augen'; to Cupcake cinnamon superqueen, BRL (F3), 'Odd eyed (DOMINANT)', chocolate smoke. That is a breeder using 61 for what Pawpeds writes 68, and saying so in words | what it settles. This register has held the 61 against 68 difference as an unexplained inconsistency between sources, on Yoshiki Ermine Trace, on British Gems Alora and elsewhere. The from Sham page shows one cause of it directly: a cattery writing 61, the ordinary blue-eye code, on animals it states carry a named dominant variant. EVERY 61 in this register on a coat without white is therefore a candidate 68, and the register's counts drawn from 68 and 69 alone understate | it also resolves the Cupcake code conflict. His own PawPeds sheet gives BLH bs with NO eye code. The PawPeds cattery listing gives BSH bs 69. The cross, written as the compiler writes it: Seymour (DBE-ALT) x IGOR (DBE, variant not identified). The sire carries the Igor line, in which no allele has ever been named; the dam descends from Nikita'l Seymour, who is genotyped DBE^ALT, by unbroken parent links. S_CROSSNAME_196 DEAF, on the breeder's own account, and not named, not coded and not dated by it. She is the second of the two daughters of the Igor to Seymour cross and she was sold to another breeder, who still works with her offspring, so this animal's descent continues where Josephine's does not. Whether the two were littermates is not stated and no litter key is entered. She is recorded because an unnamed animal left out of a register is the animal whose absence this survey is about. Both daughters of this cross were born deaf, on the breeder's own account, and this is the first two-line cross in this register whose outcome anybody has reported. The cause is not established and the register does not claim it. Deafness in the cat has a common and well-described route through white spotting with a blue eye, and these animals carry white: Josephine is coded 02, harlequin.
