Sunny Blue Ermine Trace
prefix Ermine Trace · British Shorthair · line: Nadeya · both eyes blue · Variant known, this cat untested · also in its ancestry: Igor
Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161 x1|161 x2p. A carrier with no result of its own standing below more than one line nobody has sequenced. NO TEST EXISTS FOR EITHER and the scheme names both. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.
How this cat is connected to the trait
Sunny Blue Ermine Trace, BSH ny 09 11 68
Ermine Trace Athena, BSH ny 11 68, the dam of Sunny Blue Ermine Trace
Ermine Trace Lazurit, BSH ns 09 12 33 67, the sire of Ermine Trace Athena
Ermine Trace Nadeya, BSH ns 09 11 68, the dam of Ermine Trace Lazurit. a founder of this survey; no variant has ever been identified in this line
That is 3 recorded parent links, and the animal at the end of it has never been tested, so the connection is a descent and not a result. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

Three or more variants could be present in this cat
DBE-ALT and Igor, unidentified and Nadeya, unidentified. MORE THAN ONE VARIANT COULD BE PRESENT IN THIS CAT: DBE-ALT, Igor, unidentified, Nadeya, unidentified. It is not established that any of them is, and it is not established that two are. A dominant allele comes from a parent, and this cat's recorded ancestry carries an attribution of each. The attributions above it are on CH Carajan zur Sternebucht, CH Du Blue D'or Argentin Nuance's Golden, CH Idefix von Konradsburg, CH Jadwiga's Golden Undina, CH Kandy von Romero, CH Lady Di von Wahrberg, CH Marvellous Silver Ramzes II, CH Ondra von Ursus Minor, EC Golden-Willow von Wahrberg, EC Maurice vom Wahrberg, Ermine Trace Athena, Ermine Trace Cherry, Ermine Trace Lazurit, Ermine Trace Nadeya, GIC Andy vom Wahrberg, GIC Emilio vom Rosentor, GIC Marvellous Golden Radetzky, IC Freedom zur Raeuberhoehle, IC Goldfever's Golden Mikka, IC Marvellous Miss Goldfever, IC Mels van Wierinxveste, Jadwiga's Silver Classic Touch, Jaki Ami Sissy Crazy Blue, Leonardo De Cassis, Marvellous Golden Dream, Marvellous Golden Samba, Shakira, Sonnyboy Zur Porta Westfalica, Sweet Heartbreaker's Love Me Tender, Tjarden von Felden, Zaremba. A CAT HOLDING TWO IS A COMPOUND HETEROZYGOTE, which this survey records as the state associated with deaf and dead kittens, and NOTHING BUT A TEST DISTINGUISHES ONE FROM TWO.
Computed from the recorded parentage at every build, counting both the variants this survey adopts and the ones it records a source claiming and does not adopt. IT IS AN UPPER BOUND AND NOT A FINDING: it says what could be here, never what is.
What is flagged on this tree
SCHOENWEG TEODORO. Query. THE CHART RAISES A QUESTION ABOUT THIS CAT'S BLUE EYE AND DOES NOT ANSWER IT. Chart C13 annotates this animal 'Chinchilla-point with very blue eyes, possibly due to a blue-eye gene rather than the colourpoint gene'. A colourpoint cat is blue-eyed through the C locus, so a blue eye on a pointed cat is normally accounted for and carries no evidence of a dominant variant. THE COMPILER'S POINT IS THAT THE DEPTH OF COLOUR IS UNUSUAL, which is an observation and not a test. It is recorded as the query it is and no variant is adopted
ERMINE TRACE NADEYA. Attribution. THE CHART NAMES THIS LINE'S VARIANT AND THIS REGISTER HAD IT AS UNIDENTIFIED. Genealogy C13 is headed 'NANOTIGR BLUE-EYED BRITISH SHORTHAIRS, DBE-ALT' and writes DBE-ALT in red beside Oliver, beside Amelia Nanotigr and beside ERMINE TRACE NADEYA, who is the foundation cat of the Ermine Trace dominant blue-eyed line. THE ERMINE TRACE AND NANOTIGR CATS ARE THEREFORE ATTRIBUTED DBE-ALT BY THEIR OWN CHART. It is an attribution and not a test: no Ermine Trace cat holds a laboratory result, and the only result ever held for Nadeya was a colourpoint test at the C locus, which this register corrected on 17 August 2026. THE VARIANT IS RECORDED AS CLAIMED AND NOT ADOPTED, which is what the variant_claimed field is for, and the line stops being counted as a variant of its own
ERMINE TRACE LAZURIT. Outbred. THIRTY ANCESTORS OF THIRTY POSSIBLE AND ALL THIRTY UNIQUE, coefficient of inbreeding 0.0 per cent on four complete generations. THE DOUBLING SEEN LOWER IN THIS LINE DOES NOT COME FROM HIM: his son Ermine Trace Jantar returns 6.25 per cent, and the repeated positions there enter through the dam, Ermine Trace Cherry, who is also out of Lemurcat Xantares | Code. HE IS REGISTERED 67, THE POINTED CODE, AND THE CHART DRAWS HIM WITH TWO BLUE EYE ICONS. Code 67 attributes a blue eye to the Siamese gene. Both statements are recorded and neither is preferred
DUSHES DAZZLING CASCAD. Sex. The field records male and the source's own wording reads female. The field wins on the page; the source has to be checked.
ERMINE TRACE ATHENA. Code. TWO SOURCES, TWO CODING SYSTEMS, AND THE SURVEY RECONCILES NEITHER. The PawPeds dominant blue eye listing read 17 August 2026 gives this cat as BSH ny 11 68. The code already held here is from a breeder-compiled chart and is written in the 60, 61 and 63 system. WHICH SYSTEM A DOCUMENT USES IS ITSELF ONE OF THIS SURVEY'S FINDINGS, so both are recorded against their sources and neither is preferred | Latency. STATED BY A SOURCE, NOT DEMONSTRATED BY A TEST. Latent is a claim that this cat carries a variant while showing no blue or odd eye, and here it rests on a breeder-compiled document rather than on a laboratory result. THREE CATS IN THIS REGISTER ARE LATENT ON A GENOTYPE: Belle Ayr Onyxx, DBE-ALT, and Robin and Rocky, both DBE-RE. This is not one of them
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

the PawPeds dominant blue eye database, British Shorthair listing read 17 August 2026. A registry-derived list, not a chart and not a breeder's statement
This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
