Yoker Zojka
prefix Zojka · British · one blue eye, put down to a DBE variant or its line · No variant and no line attributed · also in its ancestry: DBE-ALT, DBE-nad
Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 163p. A carrier with no result of its own and one identified variant standing above it. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.
How this cat is connected to the trait
Yoker Zojka, BRI ny 25 69
Paula Emerald Flower, BSH ny 25 69, the dam of Yoker Zojka. DBE-ALT, adopted by this survey
That is one recorded parent link, and the variant on the animal at the end of it was fixed by a laboratory result on a first-degree relative, not by a test on that animal itself. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

Wanessa Emerald Flower. Two sources disagree about her eye and the disagreement is load-bearing. This register holds her at BSH ny 12 61, a blue eye. The PawPeds sheet for her daughter Paula Emerald Flower gives her as BSH ny 12 with no eye code at all. Her daughter is coded 69 and her granddaughter is genotyped DBE^ALT, so whether the eye is recorded on her decides whether the trait appears at Paula or comes from above her. Neither reading is discarded | ruled on 13 SEPTEMBER 2026 and the Nadeya label is withdrawn, and the note that follows is what stood before the ruling. The chart draws this cat apart from the Ermine trace tree and the register labelled it Nadeya. Chart 'Blue-eyed silver and golden British Shorthairs', read 13 September 2026, sets two trees side by side under one title: the Ermine Trace line on the right, and on the left a separate group of blue-eyed silver and golden British cats running through Muslin Cats Patrick Peach, the GoldenBri cats and Sunduk's Silver Lolu, in which this cat sits. No line on the chart joins the two trees. The register's parent links agree: this cat's recorded ancestry does not reach Ermine Trace Nadeya. The Nadeya label on it therefore rests on the grouping and not on a descent, and now that the Ermine Trace line has a published allele the label carries more weight than it did when both were unidentified. The chart's own code reading is also recorded: it gives Wanessa as registered ny 12 61 and states it should be ny 12 60, with blue eyes and a red glow, and it marks Paula latent DBE. Awaiting the compiler's ruling. S_ERMINE_238 | she was the one cat in this register that showed the trait, was held under the Nadeya label, and did not descend from Nadeya. The label is now withdrawn, and with it the anomaly. She is BSH ny 12 61 out of a different cattery, and her daughter Paula Emerald Flower is held latent. The label is a chart attribution and not a pedigree. Three readings are open and the register prefers none: the pedigree link to this line exists and is not recorded here; the label is wrong and she carries something else; or she is an independent occurrence. She cannot be used as evidence that the determinant sits above the founder, because nothing places her below Teodoro or below Olwen either. Awaiting a ruling at that time. S_ABOVE_247 | the Nadeya label on this cat is withdrawn, 13 SEPTEMBER 2026, and her own pedigree is what withdraws it. The label came from a breeder-compiled chart. Her own four-generation sheet carries no Ermine trace cat anywhere on it: no Ermine Trace Nadeya, no CH Schoenweg Teodoro, no Ermine Trace Olwen, no Ermine Trace Kashemir. Twenty-eight ancestors, all twenty-eight unique, coefficient of inbreeding 0.0 per cent. Her sire is CH Quest GoldenBri and her dam Liverpool's Helga, and the lines above them are Muslin Cats, Sunnyplace, GoldenBri, Sundust's, Zur Sternenbucht, Alpari and Golden Eloso Risado. Not one animal on the sheet carries an eye code. The sheet also gives her own code as BSH ny 12 with no eye code, where the chart wrote 61, so the chart is the only source for the blue eye on her as well as for the line. Two names on her sheet do appear in the Ermine trace material, Vitma Belle Gold and Silver Angel's Jantar, both at the great-great-grandparent rank and both carrying no eye code. They are the ordinary foundation stock of the golden British and shared ancestry is not shared variant. Where she belongs instead: her daughter Paula Emerald Flower is coded 69 on the registry, and paula's grandson Topaz Zojka is genotyped DBE-ALT and heterozygous. A genotype outranks a chart. The branch is ALT material and not Nadeya material. S_WANESSA_252 | the two shared ancestors have now been checked and both are empty. Vitma Belle Gold and IC Silver Angel's Jantar are the only two animals appearing both on her sheet and in the Ermine Trace material. Their own pedigrees carry no eye code on any animal, forty ancestors between the two sheets, and neither reaches an Ermine Trace cat. The route by which the two groups touch is the golden British foundation stock of the Marvellous, Wahrberg, Goldenen Winkel and Eloso Risado lines, and it carries nothing. Shared ancestry is not shared variant and this is the worked case. S_SHARED_253 | the two groups do not meet by descent anywhere. Asked on 13 September 2026 whether any record in this register descends from both Ermine Trace Nadeya and a DBE-ALT cat, the answer is NONE. No DBE-ALT cat stands below Nadeya and none stands above her. There is therefore no date on which the ALT material enters the Ermine Trace genealogy, because it does not enter it. S_SHARED_253
Wanessa Emerald Flower. Eye and coat, the strongest exclusion this register can make from a code. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes and its recorded coat carries no white spotting code at all, is not dominant white and is not colourpointed. Nothing in the coat can pale an iris. A dominant blue eye is present and it is not the KIT odd-eye case and not the white-cat case. Its registry has entered no dominant eye code on it. Which variant is not deducible from a coat code and none is adopted: a genotype or a trace to a named founder would name it.
Paula Emerald Flower. Latency. Stated by a source, not demonstrated by a test. Latent is a claim that this cat carries a variant while showing no blue or odd eye, and here it rests on a breeder-compiled document rather than on a laboratory result. Three cats in this register are latent on a genotype: Belle Ayr Onyxx, DBE-ALT, and Robin and Rocky, both DBE-RE. This is not one of them | ruled on 13 SEPTEMBER 2026 and the Nadeya label is withdrawn, and what follows is what stood before the ruling. S_ERMINE_238 | the Nadeya label on this cat is withdrawn with her dam's, 13 SEPTEMBER 2026. Wanessa Emerald Flower's own four-generation sheet carries no Ermine Trace cat anywhere on it and no eye code on any animal, so nothing places this branch on the Nadeya line. What does place it: her own grandson Topaz Zojka is genotyped DBE-ALT and heterozygous, out of her daughter Yassminka. A genotype outranks a chart. Her 69 code stands, it is on the registry, and her latency stands with it. The branch is ALT material. S_WANESSA_252 | the genotyped cat is her own daughter and not her grandson. Yassminka Zojka, BRI ny 11 61, is out of her and is genotyped DBE-ALT. The register briefly recorded the genotype one generation further down, on Topaz Zojka, and the correction is made here. The ALT evidence is one step from her, which is why the ALT reading of this branch is the stronger one. S_SHARED_253
A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

coded 69 and annotated 'blue pigment at bottom of right eye, red glow in right eye'. The chart writes DBE-ALT in red beside him the cattery holds a genotyped DBE^ALT cat and a line with no variant identified, and nothing held here says whether they are the same thing. Topaz and Tokyo Zojka are genotyped DBE^ALT. This litter is attributed to the Nadeya line, in which no variant has been identified. The eye codes are the same on both sides: 61 on the blue-eyed cats and 63 on the odd-eyed ones. Either the cattery holds two determinants, which would make it a two-variant cattery in one breed group and a place a compound heterozygote could be made by accident, or the Nadeya attribution here is wrong and these cats are DBE^ALT too, which would partly resolve one of the largest untested lines in the register. A DBE^ALT test on any one cat of this litter settles it, and it is among the cheapest and most informative tests this register can name. Neither reading is adopted: the genotyped cats have no recorded parents, so a shared cattery is all that joins them to this litter, and a shared cattery is not a shared line. S_ZOJKA_175 the Nadeya line label was removed from this record on 1 SEPTEMBER 2026, on the compiler's ruling. The label came off the Ermine Trace pedigree charts and not off a parent link. This animal does not descend from Ermine trace Nadeya: neither it nor its dam Paula Emerald Flower reaches the founder through any recorded parentage, and this register does not treat chart membership as descent. The attribution is recorded here and not adopted. Its dam Paula Emerald Flower still carries the Nadeya label and is held for a separate ruling, so the question of whether DBE-ALT reached this litter from inside that line or from its sire Quincy Ars Britannica, who was never on it, remains open and is settled by one DBE-ALT test on Paula Emerald Flower. The code and the description do not use the same words for this coat. Both are recorded and neither is reconciled to the other.

breeder-compiled genealogy C13, headed 'Nanotigr blue-eyed British shorthairs, DBE-ALT', with the right-hand panel headed 'Link to Ermine trace blue-eyed British', read at full resolution 18 August 2026. The chart draws each cat with two eye icons, blue, green, gold or red, and writes a variant in red beside the cats it attributes one to. No cat on it carries a genotype and the red labels are the compiler's attribution
This directory is a working aid compiled from published charts, registry documents and breeder statements. It is not a register and it has no standing of any kind. The grade attaches to the animal, not to the line: a cat whose ancestor was genotyped is line-traced, not genotyped.
