Under the variant field this directory proposes, this cat would read DBE 161 x5p. A carrier of a variant with no published allele, on a line this proposal gives a suffix to. The proposal is set out in full here, and no registry issues this field today: it is computed from the record at each build and is not part of any registration.

That is 5 recorded parent links, and the animal at the end of it has never been tested, so the connection is a descent and not a result. Every step is a parent recorded in this register from a document; none of them is an assumption. The full genealogy is drawn below, and the sources for each animal are on its own page.

What is flagged on this tree

  1. Malvina's blue-eyed boy, unnamed in the source. ENTERED 2 SEPTEMBER 2026 to repair a collapsed generation. This register put Raimonda Slavicat in this animal's place, recording her as Malvina's own daughter, while its own note on Malvina said that Malvina's blue-eyed kitten was bred TO Raimonda. The breeder who found Malvina settled it on 2 SEPTEMBER 2026: Raimonda is a pedigree Siberian she crossed with one of Malvina's, and not Malvina's daughter. Her chart draws this animal and Raimonda joined by a cross. S_BARNAUL_231 he is one of several kittens of that litter and the only one this register holds. The breeder states that Malvina was found pregnant and that this litter had other kittens, and that one male of it was crossed with Raimonda, which is this animal. His littermates are not recorded here. S_BARNAUL_231
  2. Raimonda Slavicat. Her own details are now held, from the line's own slide supplied 2 September 2026: SIB n 24, BORN 10 APRIL 2015, Siberian, green eyed, bred by the breeder who found Malvina. That date narrows the generation question in this line without settling it. This register carries her as Malvina's own daughter, and it separately records that Malvina was found in 2015 with no month given. A kitten born on 10 APRIL 2015 was conceived around the first week of february, so Malvina can only be the dam if she was found, settled and mated inside the first five weeks of that year. That is possible and it is not ruled out here; it is simply tight, and it would mean the find was January 2015 or earlier than the year recorded. The stronger evidence is not the date at all. This record's own note says something different from its own parent links, that Malvina's blue-eyed kitten was bred TO Raimonda, which would make her a mate brought in and not a daughter, and the breeder's count of generations agrees with that note. The mating to Caspian black Hole is the outstanding request on this line. This register records two matings of that Aktau founder to Malvina and holds not one of the kittens; the compiler was told on 2 September 2026 that the breeder who found Malvina has them. They would stand below two separate dominant blue eye founders at once and there is nothing else of that description in this register. The reading that reconciles everything is the breeder's own: Malvina, then her blue-eyed kitten, then the red and white male who is Velvet's sire, then Velvet, which makes Velvet a Great-granddaughter exactly as the breeder says and makes this animal a mate rather than a daughter. The parent links are not changed here because moving them moves the trace, and that is the compiler's decision and not this note's. She is green eyed and stands between blue-eyed animals, which is what a dominant determinant passing through some offspring and not others looks like. S_RANOCERT_230 CORRECTED 2 SEPTEMBER 2026: She is not malvina's daughter and her parent links are removed. The breeder who found Malvina and bred this animal put the question herself, asking how Malvina could be Raimonda's mother, and answered it: Raimonda is a pedigree Siberian that she crossed with one of Malvina's. Her chart draws this animal joined by a cross to Malvina's blue-eyed boy, which is a mating and not a descent. The register had her in that boy's place, which collapsed one generation out of the Barnaul chain and is why the breeder's count of Velvet as a great-granddaughter did not agree with this register's count of granddaughter. The missing boy is now entered and the counts agree. Her own pedigree is not held here and her ancestors are not this register's. S_BARNAUL_231
  3. GARGAMELL. Entered from the certificates of Meowrigi Cincinella and Meowrigi Harry Potter, 2 September 2026. His own sire is Diamond Toy Copper, MNL d 03 31, and his dam is Cometa Galleya, DSH b 22, unregistered. S_RANOCERT_230
  4. LOLA. Entered from the certificates of Meowrigi Cincinella and Meowrigi Harry Potter, 2 September 2026. She is written non-reg on both and nothing stands above her. S_RANOCERT_230
  5. The red and white household pet of the Barnaul chart, unnamed in the source. His parents are entered 2 SEPTEMBER 2026 from the breeder's own chart: out of Malvina's blue-eyed boy by Raimonda Slavicat. He was then put to his own littermate, the tabby tortie and white female, giving Velvet and a blue-eyed black and white brother. S_BARNAUL_231
  6. Tabby tortie and white female of the Barnaul chart, unnamed in the source. ENTERED 2 SEPTEMBER 2026 from the breeder's own chart. The register held Velvet out of Raimonda directly, which put the dam a generation too high. The chart shows the red and white male and this female as littermates crossed with each other, and Velvet below them. It is a brother to sister mating and it is the second close mating recorded in this line. S_BARNAUL_231
  7. Tabby tortie and white female of the Barnaul chart, unnamed in the source. Sex. The field records female and the source's own wording reads male. The field wins on the page; the source has to be checked.
  8. DORIAN GREY. He is the sire of Cincinella and also her mate. Named on three Caravan Cats certificates supplied 2 September 2026, as the sire of Meowrigi Cincinella and, out of Cincinella herself, of Meowrigi Harry Potter. The register previously held him only as a mate. His own sire is Gargamell, MNS a 0332, and his dam is Lola, DSH ns 11, unregistered. S_RANOCERT_230
  9. Velvet Slavicat. Variant taken over high white, on a ruling and not on a test. This cat carries dominant white, a van, harlequin or bicolour figure, or a point figure, any of which leaves enough unpigmented iris to account for a blue eye without PAX3. It also carries a variant or stands in a DBE line, and the holder ruled on 31 August 2026 that the variant is taken as the cause in that situation. The alternative is not closed and only a genotype closes it. A photograph is better evidence of extent than a code, so where one has been read the phenotype note should be preferred to this flag. Recorded so the ruling is visible on every animal it touches and can be reversed as a set. S_VARIANT_OVER_WHITE generation query, raised by the breeder and not resolved. The Meowrigi cattery states, on 2 September 2026, that this animal is malvina's Great-granddaughter and that she was bought from the breeder who found Malvina. The chain this register holds makes her a granddaughter: Malvina to Raimonda Slavicat to this animal, three names and not four. One generation is therefore missing or doubled somewhere in the Barnaul chain, and the founder's own note in this register hints the same way, saying that Malvina's blue-eyed kitten was bred TO Raimonda rather than that Raimonda was that kitten. The parent links are left as they stand until a pedigree settles it, because the breeder's count and this register's chain cannot both be right and neither is a document. S_RANO_228 her own registration prints all four grandparents as unknown. Two Caravan Cats certificates supplied 2 September 2026, for her daughter Cincinella and her son Domino, reproduce her as Velvet, farus/CC-CER-2-18*UZ, DSH f 03 24 63, born 1 March 2017, with no parent and no grandparent named on either sheet. This register carries her with two parents and a chain to Malvina, taken from the Barnaul material and not from a registration. The two cannot both be complete. The most likely reading is the one the breeder gives in her own words, that Velvet was bought from the breeder who found Malvina and is Malvina's great-granddaughter, and that the relationship was never registered, so the club recorded what it could prove and wrote UNKNOWN for the rest. The parent links are left standing and this note is attached to them, because deleting a descent the breeder herself asserts would lose more than it gains. Her breed is also in question: both certificates write her DSH, a domestic shorthair, where this register holds her as a Siberian. The colour code is identical on all three documents. S_RANOCERT_230 the breeder adds, on the same day, that Raimonda is a Siberian with a pedigree. That reconciles the two records rather than deepening the conflict: The descent above Velvet is documented on raimonda's side, in Russia, while the Uzbek club that registered Velvet could not verify it and wrote UNKNOWN, which is what a household pet registration does. The parent links therefore stand on a better footing than the unknowns suggested. What is still open is the generation count and her breed. S_RANOCERT_230 her dam is corrected 2 SEPTEMBER 2026. The register had her out of Raimonda directly; the breeder's chart puts her out of the red and white male by his own littermate the tabby tortie and white female, who are raimonda's children. That is one generation lower and it makes her malvina's Great-granddaughter, exactly as the breeder said: Malvina, the blue-eyed boy, the red and white male, Velvet. She is also out of a brother to sister mating, which this register did not previously show. S_BARNAUL_231
  10. Khris Happy Fenix. He has a name now. The cattery chart gave this animal no name, only the cattery he came from, and this register carried him as an unnamed Scottish Fold for that reason. Meowrigi icepeak's registration certificate, Caravan Cats, supplied 2 September 2026, names the sire as Khris Happy Fenix, sfs ns 22, born 31 July 2017, and the breeder writes that Icepeak and Irisa are of the same litter. Probable duplicate, not merged: this register separately holds Khris, XSH ns 22, as the sire of Meowrigi Karapka out of the same dam. The colour code is the same and only the breed letters differ, sfs against XSH, which is what happens when one animal is written by two clubs. The two records are almost certainly one cat and they are left apart until the compiler rules. S_RANOCERT_230
  11. Meowrigi Cincinella. S_VARIANT_OVER_WHITE dam confirmed by the breeder. The Meowrigi cattery states, on 2 September 2026, that Velvet produced this animal and that several of this animal's own kittens continued the line, which is what this register already held from the cattery chart. It is the breeder confirming her own cats and it raises the standing of the link. S_RANO_228 sire added from her own registration certificate, 2 September 2026. The register held her with one parent, Velvet, because the cattery chart gave only the dam. Her certificate, Caravan Cats, names the sire as Dorian gray, mns ns, born 18 October 2016. That makes Dorian gray both her sire and her mate: this register already recorded him put to her, giving Meowrigi Hypnosis and, on the same certificates, Meowrigi Harry Potter. It is a sire to daughter mating and it was invisible while the sire was missing. Her certificate also prints all four of her dam's grandparents as UNKNOWN. S_RANOCERT_230
  12. Meowrigi Cincinella. Eye and coat, a determination and not a query. This cat is blue-eyed in both eyes, carries a bicolour or locket white code, is not dominant white and is not colourpointed. The classic white spotting gene covers an eye where the white happens to fall, which gives an odd eye and not two blue ones, so the coat does not account for this and a dominant blue eye is present in the line. It is not the KIT odd-eye case. Its registry has entered no dominant eye code on it. Which variant is not deducible from a coat code and none is adopted.

A flag is not an error. It marks a place where two sources say different things, or where an attribution cannot be made on the evidence held.

The description held
Homozygosity in this line is stated to be lethal. Professor Marie abitbol, who identified DBE-ALT and DBE-CEL, states in her 2026 World Cat Federation presentation, on the slide headed 'Malvina line', that this is a dominant blue eye line from Russia, that it was introduced into the Siberian breed, that homozygosity is lethal, that there is no data on deafness, and that the search for the variant is ongoing. This is the researcher's statement and not this survey's finding: the presentation gives the conclusion without the underlying counts, so no number of lost kittens is claimed here. It is recorded against every animal of the line because a breeder looks up an animal and not a line. What it means in practice: mating two carriers of this determinant together is expected to lose the quarter of the litter that inherits two copies, and because those kittens do not survive to be counted, a breeder doing it may see only small litters and conclude nothing is wrong. It is a different and worse harm from the compound heterozygote this register documents elsewhere, which is white and deaf and which lives. The determinant of this line remains unidentified and this note does not attribute one. S_LETHAL_206
